New York is so full of tourist destinations that your only problem in the Big Apple will be deciding what to do, and trying to make time to see it all of everything. There are 11 different regions, and each have something different to offer. Here are a few descriptions of a hand full of the regions, and what you can find there.
The Central Leatherstocking region has a vibrant history and is full of beautiful landscapes. Here you can find the Farmer’s Museum, and the Baseball Hall of Fame. You can also learn all about the history and process of beer making on a tour of Saranac Brewery. Underground rock formations can be discovered in the Howe and Secret Caverns. There is also the world’s smallest church, and the Cherry Valley Museum, which houses clothing from the 17th and 18th century.
The Capital Saratoga region has lots of quaint settings, such as covered bridges, farms and woodlands. You can see the giant dog sculpture, Nipper, which is a trademark for RCA. Don’t forget Schenectady’s Stoackage is a 300 year old Dutch village.
